I ended up as a Licensed Real Estate Broker and Appraiser

My last post here was about posting some ideas or random thoughts after I supposedly started working.

After several employments in the corporate world, I ended up practicing real estate business; right now, like all the other starters, I am indeed struggling. I have the luxury of having a place for an office, a network for clients and the competence to practice this profession as evidenced by my licenses.

I made sure that I prepared for this venture that I put myself into, however, I did not realize the challenges in my chosen path. One of these challenges is transportation, this is a primary concern for me right now because I experienced having clients and events I could've attended to had I owned a vehicle, indeed, I lost a lot of opportunities to make a sale simply because I cannot go physically in my chosen territory.

Another challenge I am encountering is not having a network of salespersons. I am prepared, to the point that I could immediately answer general questions about the units or lots I am selling but I am alone and for me to survive in this real estate profession I would need salesperson that would help me in handling different processes for purposes of making a sale. I have encountered three types of persons all of them did not help me or would never be able to help me in my chosen field. The first one instantly demanded an allowance and we haven't even made a sale together neither did she provide any prospects, the second type of salesperson promised a lot of clients but failed to say when we could present our units, I am expecting I would wait forever. The third type of salesperson is the one that said they would help me on the condition that I would buy from her. So far, my decision to find a partner for this business has not yielded a favorable result.

The last and  most intimidating challenge I am faced with is the lack of monetary capital; as I have mentioned, I am well prepared and blessed to have some means to pursue this career, however, the maintenance of it entails expenses and capital in order for me to further my work and by analogy, I have just been a block away from where I started.

Here, I realized that I neglected a lot of factors to consider and I am extremely challenged with those factors becoming obstacles in my path. I will not stop this real estate venture and I believe I will be successful, all it would take is a lot more time and finding a lot more measures to answer these challenges.

I am currently acquiring income through my appraisal services and it is enough to let me survive and answer the monthly expenses I continuously incur. I intend to start answering all the challenges by first being a part-time instructor in some colleges to add to my income, continue the appraisal services and pray.

Prayer is a very strong ally in all forms of life and I do give thanks for all I have right now, however meager it is and give a prayer of hope that I would be successful with a kind heart.

I am a Licensed Real Estate Broker, a Licensed Real Estate Appraiser and I will not give up!
